89:23 Juz 30 · Page 594

وَجِا۟ىٓءَ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بِجَهَنَّمَ ۚ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ وَأَنَّىٰ لَهُ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ

And brought [within view], that Day, is Hell - that Day, man will remember, but what good to him will be the remembrance?

89:24 Juz 30 · Page 594

يَقُولُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِى

He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life."

89:25 Juz 30 · Page 594

فَيَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُۥٓ أَحَدٌۭ

So on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment,

89:26 Juz 30 · Page 594

وَلَا يُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُۥٓ أَحَدٌۭ

And none will bind [as severely] as His binding [of the evildoers].

89:27 Juz 30 · Page 594

يَٰٓأَيَّتُهَا ٱلنَّفْسُ ٱلْمُطْمَئِنَّةُ

[To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul,

89:28 Juz 30 · Page 594

ٱرْجِعِىٓ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةًۭ مَّرْضِيَّةًۭ

Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him],

89:29 Juz 30 · Page 594

فَٱدْخُلِى فِى عِبَٰدِى

And enter among My [righteous] servants

89:30 Juz 30 · Page 594

وَٱدْخُلِى جَنَّتِى

And enter My Paradise."

90:1 Juz 30 · Page 594

لَآ أُقْسِمُ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ

I swear by this city, Makkah -

90:2 Juz 30 · Page 594

وَأَنتَ حِلٌّۢ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ

And you, [O Muhammad], are free of restriction in this city -

90:3 Juz 30 · Page 594

وَوَالِدٍۢ وَمَا وَلَدَ

And [by] the father and that which was born [of him],

90:4 Juz 30 · Page 594

لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ فِى كَبَدٍ

We have certainly created man into hardship.

90:5 Juz 30 · Page 594

أَيَحْسَبُ أَن لَّن يَقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ أَحَدٌۭ

Does he think that never will anyone overcome him?

90:6 Juz 30 · Page 594

يَقُولُ أَهْلَكْتُ مَالًۭا لُّبَدًا

He says, "I have spent wealth in abundance."

90:7 Juz 30 · Page 594

أَيَحْسَبُ أَن لَّمْ يَرَهُۥٓ أَحَدٌ

Does he think that no one has seen him?

90:8 Juz 30 · Page 594

أَلَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُۥ عَيْنَيْنِ

Have We not made for him two eyes?

90:9 Juz 30 · Page 594

وَلِسَانًۭا وَشَفَتَيْنِ

And a tongue and two lips?

90:10 Juz 30 · Page 594

وَهَدَيْنَٰهُ ٱلنَّجْدَيْنِ

And have shown him the two ways?

90:11 Juz 30 · Page 594

فَلَا ٱقْتَحَمَ ٱلْعَقَبَةَ

But he has not broken through the difficult pass.

90:12 Juz 30 · Page 594

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْعَقَبَةُ

And what can make you know what is [breaking through] the difficult pass?

90:13 Juz 30 · Page 594

فَكُّ رَقَبَةٍ

It is the freeing of a slave

90:14 Juz 30 · Page 594

أَوْ إِطْعَٰمٌۭ فِى يَوْمٍۢ ذِى مَسْغَبَةٍۢ

Or feeding on a day of severe hunger

90:15 Juz 30 · Page 594

يَتِيمًۭا ذَا مَقْرَبَةٍ

An orphan of near relationship

90:16 Juz 30 · Page 594

أَوْ مِسْكِينًۭا ذَا مَتْرَبَةٍۢ

Or a needy person in misery

90:17 Juz 30 · Page 594

ثُمَّ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلْمَرْحَمَةِ

And then being among those who believed and advised one another to patience and advised one another to compassion.

90:18 Juz 30 · Page 594

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ

Those are the companions of the right.
